LEARN BY MAKING

Your first world.
One room at a time.

Four small lessons. A real starting point. Try the tools, change something, and see what happens.

Open the builder

LESSON 01 · A SENSE OF PLACE

Make a room that feels like yours.

  1. Open the builder and give your world a name.
  2. Select “The beginning.” Change the room’s name, width, depth, and colour.
  3. Add a second room. Open Position & more to move it on the top-view map, or choose + Club room for a ready-made music setup.
  4. Try a narrow room next to a broad one. Notice how the layout changes.

The editor is a layout tool. Room placement does not automatically create walkable corridors.

LESSON 02 · MAKE IT REACT

Give the room a soundtrack.

  1. Under World music, choose MOGGING or select an audio file from your device. Set a comfortable volume.
  2. Select a room. Turn on Pulse lights for bass-reactive lighting, Spectrum wall for eight moving light columns, or Sound orb for an interactive music switch.
  3. Pick a plugin colour. Raise Response for a stronger reaction, or lower it for a calmer room.
  4. Press Play, then Enter + play music. Walk near the sound orb and press E to pause or restart the track.

+ Club room adds all three plugins without replacing your current rooms or soundtrack. Audio files are saved on this device; they are separate from downloaded JSON drafts.

LESSON 03 · YOUR FIRST PLAYTEST

Collect the light seeds.

  1. Choose “Play” to turn the current layout into a solo prototype.
  2. Move with WASD and look with the mouse. On a touch screen, use the joystick and drag on the right.
  3. Walk near the glowing fruit and press E or Interact to collect it.
  4. Find the glowing portal to move into the next room. Collect every room’s seed.
  5. Press Escape to pause, then choose “Back to editor” to revise the layout.

Rooms connect through portals in this prototype. It is an early Gaussian playtest; device performance varies.

LESSON 04 · KEEP YOUR WORK

Save an idea you can return to.

  1. Changes save locally in this browser when storage is available.
  2. Open Save and choose “Download draft” to save a .guassia.json layout file.
  3. Use Save → “Open a draft” to reopen that file in this builder.
  4. Choose Save → “Download playable ZIP” for a self-contained solo prototype you can upload to a static HTTPS host. Keep exported copies before starting over or clearing browser storage.

Local saving does not create an account or publish a world. JSON drafts reopen here and keep audio separate. Playable ZIPs include the chosen music, runtime, and hosting instructions.

BEYOND THE FIRST RELEASE

There is more to build.

Accounts, public creator publishing, richer game-building tools, friend sessions for up to ten people, and creator monetization are planned directions. They are not available features of this release. For now, the room builder, music plugins, and solo playtest are the tools you can use.
